This edition of the Nuku Studio newsletter, features information about the next phase of the “Northern Ghana Life” project, a collaboration between Nuku Studio and Noorderlicht (House of Photography in The Netherlands). We also say happy birthday to James Barnor, as he turns 90; congratulate our friends at the Kuenyehia Prize for Contemporary Ghanaian Art for opening a new gallery in Accra; and are delighted to see new photographers from across the continent join Everyday Africa.

As of 2019, Nuku Studio shares news and updates on its projects and related activities via this newsletter! This first edition features Nuku Studio Founder Nii Obodai's vision for 2019, after an eventful and successful 2018. While we are working on some new initiatives, we invite you to revisit some of our recent projects: the first ever photo festival in Ghana and the second Portraits Ghana Photo Prize, portfolio review sessions in collaboration with World Press Photo, and the photo book and exhibition Northern Ghana Life in collaboration with Noorderlicht, to mention but a few!
